Buildpic: The pic unit is a dark blob on the picture with no low possibility to detect the true form. The cannon tower is hardly seen and looks much larger than in-game. There is a sort of "tower" in the back that looks like and exhaust pipe on those old steam-vent machines thus it's way of being partly underwater looks suspicious [0]. The background looks rather nice with a soft light coming from the left [3]. The merging is so and so for while the boat is a bit beneath the surface (although looking rather unreal) but the musty dark blob doesen't fit in the light and soft blue sea. Thus the unit isn't shaded at all and even less in the same way as the BG [1].

Model: This unit does defenitely not merge with OTA. It's dark, have un-Corish design and the cannon looks weak (mainly because it is) and is too large, even for an advanced scout. First of all, it manages to fit in under my face/unit schematics, and that's impressive, but still have a handful forgotten faces, and that annoys me a bit. The hull itself is managed into the impressive 37 faces, while the little tiny blue blob on the top takes up 28. The unit looks so alien in OTA that it's not even funny. If the side hulls joined the main hull in the front and back, it might look somewhat descent, but in this case it doesen't [0]. The texturing could (and should) be much better. I like the texxing of the top deck, but I really hate all these dark sea textures. They are what makes this unit so sad [1]. Actually, I took the liberty of retextuirng it and you can see the results here and the new model can be collected here. I didn't really do my best, but I can ensure you that my version looks better together with other OTA units. The corpse is an awful example of a stressed unitmaker that don't have time for such things. The cannon has been bent a little, but since it got the same texture as the rest of the unit, it can't even be spotted [0].

Balance: This is one of the most underpowered unit I've seen. It costs four times as much metal (50% more energy) as the Skeeter while it posesses a weaker weapon with shorter range that is more of the Instigator laser than any effective defence in a sea battle. Waste of metal with other words. It can cloak, yes, but considering wasting 900E / tick for that is an easy job... I'd rather put the energy to let my Timmy fire a shot extra. Lower the cloaking costs to about 50 and greatly improve the weapon damage (maybe as high as 200/shot) and it might be something. Sorry to give a zero, but this unit will never be used by a sane player.

My score: Since I consider myself as a sane player, I don't want to use this because it is equal to constructing PeeWees and sending them one by one to an enemy HLT. I also think that the turnrate for this ship is too high because it looks extremely unnatural when a 5x3 size boat turns around in a fingersnap.
